Along the old town centre, trattorias and restaurants offer the best of the kitchen of Grado: an old tradition of genuine taste and recipes handed down from generation to generation with fish as a main ingredient.

The best known Grado’s dish is the "brodetto", called here "boreto", a tasty fish-soup that depending from the cook and the available fresh fish, can be prepared with just one type of fish or several different ones.

There are several recipes of fish dishes. But in this fishing village, all the fish dishes are excellent, from the common sardines to the most costly fishes and molluscs of the sea and of the Lagoon. The fish arrives everyday fresh in the restaurants where they are cooked with great skill in a right balance of tradition and innovation.
